Dear Prospective Sponsor/ Exhibitor,

The Cancer Health Disparities Conference Planning Committee would like to extend an invitation to promote your program and secure the attention of health care professionals, basic scientists, intervention researchers, health educators, patient advocates, outreach workers, policy makers, community leaders, and students at the Cancer Health Disparities Conference. This conference will be held in Las Cruces, NM on May 27 - 29, 2009 and is hosted by the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center [FHCRC], New Mexico State University [NMSU], and the University of New Mexico Cancer Center. The Conference Planning Committee anticipates a lively and productive meeting that will include ~200 participants interested in promoting an understanding of rural cancer health disparities. This conference will provide an opportunity for corporate sponsors/exhibitors to promote their respective program/company to a wide audience of cancer health care professionals and public health staff, as well as cancer survivors and family members.

Several levels of sponsorship are available. Sponsors and exhibitors are invited to submit their corporate logo for acknowledgement in the conference program, abstract book, and welcome poster at the conference registration desk. In addition, sponsor logos will be featured on a PowerPoint slide that will be displayed in between sessions over the course of the three-day conference. Sponsorship opportunities include:

• Refreshment Break: $1500 for one break for one day or $3000 for two breaks for one day
• One Lunch: $5000
• Poster Session Reception: $5000
• Reception Cash Bar: $3000
• Student Poster Awards: $150
• Speaker Gifts (sponsor’s discretion, we have 31 speakers)

Enclosed is the Corporate Sponsor/Exhibitor Request Form. Please submit this form no later than May 15, 2009. You are welcome to contact Lené Loest via email at: hloest@nmsu.edu or phone at: (575) 646-5104 with any questions.

In the event that your program is interested in being an exhibitor, the Cancer Health Disparities Conference will be held at the Hotel Encanto on South Telshor Boulevard. Exhibits will be in the Avenida pre-function area and Tularosa room, located near the registration area and meeting rooms of the Hotel Encanto. Exhibit set-up will take place between 7:00am - 8:00am on Wednesday, May 27th. Exhibits will be open from 8:30am to 5pm on May 27th and 28th and from 8:30am to 12:00pm on Friday, May 29th. The registration fee for exhibitors is $500.00 and exhibit space is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Exhibitor registration includes regular registration for one person (program materials, continental breakfasts, break refreshments, two lunches, one dinner reception), one table, and one chair. You can download the Sponsor / Exhibitor form at http://cancer.nmsu.edu/supporters_exhibitors.shtml.

We hope you will join us in making the Cancer Health Disparities Conference a successful event!

Thank you,
