Dr. Charlotte Gard is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics, Applied Statistics & International Business at NMSU. Her research interests include breast cancer risk prediction, misclassification of mammographic breast density, modeling of mammographic breast density, and maternal and child health.
Dr. Gard joined the PACR team in 2018 as a lead investigator on a pilot project studying diagnostic bias in predicting breast cancer risk. In addition to her work at NMSU, Dr. Gard serves as a consultant to the Breast Cancer Surveillance Consortium Program in Seattle, Washington.
Dr. Gard earned her Ph.D in Biostatistics from the University of Washington.
