Dr. Frances Lewis is the University of Washington Medical Center Endowed Professor in Nursing and an affiliate member of the Public Health Sciences Division at Fred Hutch. Her research interests include innovative interventions. symptom science, health equity and lifespan health. Specifically, her current work focuses on families dealing with advanced stage cancers in either parent or their dependent children, and how to help them thrive as individuals and as a family.

Dr. Lewis joined the PACR team in 2016 as an investigator in a pilot project and is now an investigator on a full project researching the efficacy of a culturally-adapted cancer parenting education program for Hispanic women.

Dr. Lewis earned her Ph.D. in sociology of education from Stanford University.
