Bio:
Dr. Dejan Magoc is an assistant professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences at NMSU. His research interest includes theory-based approaches to physical activity and health behaviors as well as public health education and health promotion.
Dr. Magoc joined the PACR team in 2023 as a lead investigator on a pilot project addressing daily lifestyle behaviors (fruits and vegetable intake, screen time, physical activity, sleep) that impact childhood obesity. In addition to his research with PACR, Dr. Magoc is engaged in other community-based projects focusing on active living.
Dr. Magoc earned his Ph.D. in interdisciplinary health sciences from the University of Texas at EL Paso.
