Bio:
Dr. Soyoung Jeon is an assistant professor of Applied Statistics at NMSU. PACR Role: Full project 2 leadHer research interests include environmental statistics, bio-community diversity, and socioeconomic and health disparities. She studies environmental health risk assessment in underserved communities, focusing on air quality and health in border regions. Dr. Jeon joined the PACR team in 2023 as a project lead on the full project "Systemic understanding of cellular mechanisms of metabolic adaptations in cancer."
Dr. Jeon earned her Ph.D. in Statistics and Operations Research from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
